FAQs

Feel free to contact me if you don’t find the answer here or need more details.

Many of my clients have questions about my painting services. I hope that these answers to frequently asked questions will be helpful in your decision-making process.

I specialize in residential  interior painting. I am fully insured.

My quotes contain all of our contract terms, so there are no surprises for you when you decide to hire me as your painting contractor. When you decide you would like to work with me, I will review the job needed to be done and you will sign a quote with me if you decide to move forward. To build more trust, I do not take deposits. I will then coordinate scheduling the work and colour selection with you.

At the beginning of the job, I will walk through the space with you in order to confirm the scope of work and discuss any important items.

During the job, I keep you in the loop on our progress and are always receptive to any questions or concerns you may have.

Finally, when the work is complete, I conduct a final walk through with you to confirm that you are happy with our work. If any touch-ups are needed, I remedy these areas as promptly as possible. After this inspection and any necessary touch-ups, I collect full payment.

No, it is not required that you be home during your painting project. It is up to you if you prefer to be on-premises while I am working. It is ideal if someone is there for the start of the project.

I will cover and protect the furniture and floors, however if there is a heavy or delicate piece of furniture or an heirloom that is tricky to move, please remove it before I arrive to begin the job.

I can acquire paint products at much lower prices because of the quantity I purchase and my relationships with paint suppliers. In most cases, it will cost more to buy your own paint. In the event you still prefer to purchase your own paint, you must be readily available to purchase more if and when it is needed.

Most of the time I can. Due to unforeseen circumstances the start date may be delayed. In the event of any delays or changes, I will let you know immediately.

No, the quote for the labor will not change. However, the price for the paint can be if more is needed to complete the job or if you ask for me to perform additional work that is not covered in the original quote. Unforeseen circumstances do arise once in a while, such as damage to the surface(s) that was not apparent at the initial site visit, or the addition of bold colors that require additional coats/labor. In any case, I will keep you updated on the status of your job and you will be informed in the event that unforeseen circumstances arise. I will never bill additional work without your approval.

My main suppliers are Sherwin Williams, Dulux and Benjamin Moore. I believe that to get quality results, you can’t use cheap supplies. When we meet to discuss the job and the particular uses for the areas that are to be painted I will then suggest the type of paint that will work best for those areas. I also work closely with my suppliers who provide me with their expertise when needed.

I strive to provide the highest level of quality in my work. If you are not satisfied, then my job is not truly complete, and there is nothing I value more than creating happy customers. If you notice a problem with work I’ve done for you, please call me and I will correct it. I am always willing to return to the worksite to ensure I have provided the level of quality we promised.

In the rare event of an issue that cannot be readily fixed due to underlying conditions or any other factors, I am committed to working with you toward a fair solution.

I take great pride in my work and want every customer that hires Colour Me Happy Interior Painting to be happy.
